Become a SENCo and/or upskill your early years SEND knowledge and practice
Our Early Years SENCo Skills Bootcamp empowers practitioners with the specialist knowledge and confidence to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). In up to 16-weeks, you’ll complete the nationally recognised NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators in Early Years Settings. Register your interest today.

Course Highlights

  • Duration: Up to 16-weeks
  • Location: Blended delivery:– face-to-face sessions in Cheshire and Warrington, and live online classes
  • Support: Weekly 1-to-1 tutorials and personal development coaching
  • Qualification: NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators in Early Years Settings
  • Placements: Support in securing a placement if not currently employed
  • Assessment: Portfolio-based with real-world workplace application
  • Entry: Open to learners aged 19+ working in early years, or with some experience or strong interest in early years education

You’ll complete two essential units covering:

  • Roles and Responsibilities of the SENCo in Early Years
  • Strategies and Techniques for Supporting Children and Families

Employability Support

You’ll receive tailored support to enhance your career development throughout the Bootcamp, including:

  • 1-to-1 coaching sessions focused on your goals
  • CV writing and interview preparation
  • SENCo-specific career development planning
  • Help accessing SEND-related roles and further training opportunities

Who Can Apply

  • Aged 19+ and live in Cheshire or Warrington
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Early years practitioners ready to step into a SENCo role
  • Childminders and nursery staff looking to upskill
  • Unemployed individuals aiming to re-enter the workforce in a SEND support role
  • Some prior experience with children is recommended.
